Tuong Duong - an attractive tourist destination

From Dien Chau junction, to go up the 7A National Road approximately 150 km to Tuong Duong district territory. The mountainous scene here are very diverse and rich. The Lam river is winding, weaving through the mountain, forests, villages where are tributaries as the arms holding Tuong Duong land..
Tuong Duong has many potential advantages for tourism development. The important points in Tuong Duong’s tourism are:
1. Sang Le Forest ( belongs to the territory of Thich Quang village, Tam Dinh commune), which has an area of 70ha (in the scheme extends to 300ha), is the forest still retains its natural beauty. Trees have the height from 30 - 40 meters, light white color. Their foliages are green, yellow and red highlight in the sky. It makes the forest a tranquil and mystery beauty. In summer, the green valleys are very beautiful with purple flowers. In the hot summer, entering the forest, the tourists will find it cool and healthy climate. The haughty orchids hides highly make the natural picture become more lovely.

The Sang Le Forests is very suitable for camping, picnics ... This forest certainly will make the visitors love finding out what exciting discoveries still hiding inside.
2. Den Van - Cua Rao was built and completed in the end of nineteenth century to worship the General Nhu Hai (who had the merit of fighting Khai Lao invader, protecting the country and died heroicly in this river) and Tam Toa Thanh Mau who are the three gods in the four immortal gods controll all three of the river - mountain - land to pray for good weather, national security. The temple consists of two buildings Bai Duong and Hau Cung. It is located on a hill next to the confluence; on the right is Nam Mo river, on the left is Nam Non river, in the front is the romantic Lam river, surrounded by forests. The tourists come here on the Den Van Cua Rao Festival in the spring of each year, the visitors will enjoy the beauty of traditional culture, feel the soul of ancient mountains echoed in the gong sound, cau suoi, dieu lam ... of the boys and girls in Tuong Duong.
3. Tuong Duong has Ban Ve hydroelectric power plant  with a design capacity of 320 Mw, a large dam with a height of 158 m, reservoir capacity of 1.8 billion m3 of water, drainage area of 8700 km2. After stopping dam, the water became smooth, extended river, creating numerous oasises. Located in the group of lakes, far from the Ban Ve hydroelectric power plant more than two hour machine boat riding; stops at the foot of  Pha Chang mountain, in Huu Khuong commune, after five minutes you can walk to the Tham Nam cave which is a beautiful landscape created by nature. Tham Nam (in Thai languge means Water Cave) is a red, beautiful cave and has thousand m2 large, many floors, high ceiling, with the flat position, large enough for hundreds of people to rest next the myriad …Especially inside the cave is an underground stream, clear and cool water. Come to Tuong Duong, the visitors can enjoy the cultural cuisine from the dishes prepared with the local products resources such as hemibagrus, chicken, black pig ... and vegetables such as mango, sweet egg-plant, bitter bamboo shoots ... which have flavor characteristics of mountainous land.

In addition to the above destinations, Tuong Duong district has many potential tourist destinations as: Khe Bo Hydroelectric power plant, Tam Quang dwarf trees, Tam Hop primeval forest, Tham Cung Tam Dinh ... They are eligible to become attractive destinations for tourists.
